The #1 Record Missouri non-typical whitetail known as the “Missouri Monarch” scored 333 7/8 Boone and Crockett and dates to 1981. The massive buck was discovered dead along a road in northern St. Louis County, Missouri, by hunter David Beckman, later taken into state possession due to its extraordinary antlers, which weighed over 11 pounds. Initially scoring 325 7/8, it shattered the previous world-record non-typical whitetail mark, sparking controversy and allegations that it was pen-raised. After investigation, the Boone and Crockett Club found no evidence to support the claims, confirmed it as a free-ranging deer, and closed the case. The buck remains state property and is publicly displayed by the Missouri Department of Conservation.
