The Legend of "Scar"

Physical Stature: He was a massive "monster" muley that reportedly scored approximately 265 inches. He was known for his incredible mass, non-typical points ("trash"), and a distinctively rugged appearance.

Behavior: Like other Wyoming legends like Popeye and Morty, Scar was elusive. He spent his summers in high-country ranges and was known to only a few observers on his winter range. He reportedly lived near a trailhead but managed to remain hidden in an overlooked "pocket" for years.

Harvest: The buck was eventually harvested by hunter Travis Hobbs in 2017.

Legacy: Scar is frequently mentioned alongside Wyoming's "Big Three" (Popeye, Morty, and Goliath) as a modern-day icon of the state's mule deer hunting heritage.
