A mature whitetail buck explodes from the frost-silvered pasture at first light, muscles coiled and breath steaming in the cold dawn air. As the sun crests the horizon, amber light ignites his heavy rack and casts long shadows across the dew-drenched grass. With effortless power he clears the sagging barbed wire fence in a single fluid bound—hooves tucked, back arched—suspended for a heartbeat against a sky brushed in pink and gold. He lands silent and sure on the far side, disappearing into the timber as the countryside wakes behind him.
